  MC's give a take at this track too if you have the might. Hip Hop needs to throw down more odd time signatures. This piece was written as an experiment towards that end. Robots is in 4/4 but consists of 5 bar phrases used as an opportunity to throw in one 5/4 rhythm: rest, rest, 3 4 5. This rhythm is played by the bass synths and accented by the ratatating snare drum. Written well before the conception of this album it foreshadowed it in lyrical form and thought. Beware Robots are Taking over, The robots are the people who choose to act like our earth is a never ending supply chain of their profit. These individuals are controlled by the technology of a more esoteric era. They disregard logic in the name of their god who will save them when there are no more Truffula Trees to cut down. They want to dam the rivers to drought because we can eat other things than fish. They want to drill until the earth’s mantel cracks. They want you to do their dirty work and buy their product. This is the Fat Man Circus. The 5/4 rhythm rest, rest, 3, 4, 5 is the discordant marching order they give, marching the masses to the cliff side like human lemmings.
